September and October are our hottest months of the year and we don’t have AC because it’s generally not that hot (though we did purchase a portable unit for rare heat waves), so we rely heavily on our ceiling fans over these warmer months. Design-wise, I’d much rather have a cute light on a bedroom ceiling but practically speaking, I love our fans. I don’t think my kids would sleep half the year without them!

It’s been a few years since I rounded up some good looking ceiling fans, so today I’ve gathered a massive, updated list of modern, sleek, unoffensive, mid-century-friendly fans. I even found a few in brass FINALLY! Some are in the $200 range while some surpass the $500 mark. If you are wondering if we still love ours that I painted black, we do very much, but oh man that brass and walnut one below is tempting. Hope this helps if you are on the hunt!
